1907 A Private enterprise engaged in collecting and refining of natural asphalt was reorganized and named Chugai Asphalt Co., Ltd.(the former organization of Nippon Hodo) and engaged in pavement and waterproofing works.
1913 The company title was changed to Chugai Oil Asphalt Co., Ltd.
1918 The company was amalgamated by Hoden Oil Co., Ltd. as its asphalt work department and the same business was continued.
1921 Hoden Oil Co., Ltd. was amalgamated by Nippon Oil Co., Ltd. and our department became the asphalt department of Nippon Oil Co., Ltd.
1923 The asphalt work department was renamed the road department and engaged exclusively in road pavement works.
1924 Obtained the right of execution of a patented work method from Warren Brother's Co. of US under a technical agreement concluded with a US company. Constructed the Meiji Shrine Outer roads, Hanshin national highway, etc. by this method. This method of pavement was then propagated.
1934 Nippon Hodo Co., Ltd. was established by the amalgamation of the road department of Nippon Oil Co. and the road department of Asano Bussan Co. Capital 1 million yen.
1945 At the end of World War U, the company lost all of its overseas assets and restarted business in domestic market. Developed a method of earth bitumen pavements and put it into practical utilization.
1946 Developed a pavement method by using binder made of pine oil tar and put it into practical utilization.
1947 Opened Sendai (present Tohoku), Tokyo (present Kanto Daiichi) and Osaka (present Kansai) branches. Developed and introduced special rock asphalt paving system.
1948 Opened Sapporo (present Hokkaido), Nagoya (present Chubu) and Fukuoka (present Kyushu) branches.
1949 Registered with Ministry of Construction as a comprehensive constructor due to enforcement of Construction Business Law. Stock listed on Tokyo securities market. Opened Hiroshima (present Chugoku) branch. Developed and introduced Asphalt Macadamix system.
1952 Cement Macadamix method was developed and put into practical utilization.
1953 Introduced asphalt finishers from the U.S. (for the first time in Japan). 
1956 Introduced the guss asphalt paving method from West Germany.
1957 Applied asphalt-lining to embankment construction of Nagaura reclaimed land in Chiba Prefecture a first in Japan. Since then the work method has propagated throughout Japan.
1959 Niigata (present Hoku-Shinetsu) branch office was opened.
1961 A method for paving curved slopes was developed and put into practical utilization. Asphalt mastic method was developed and put into practical utilization.
1962 Takamatsu (present Shikoku) branch office was opened. Omiya general motor pool was opened.
1963 New head office was completed at the present location. 
1965 The Production and selling of the patented cold asphalt mixture "Remiphalt" began. Asphalt mat work method was developed and put into practical utilization.
1969 Associated Products Div. was established. Sales of asphalt mixture was commenced.
1970 The company's stocks were designated by the Tokyo Stock Exchange as stock for margin transactions.
1971 Opened Tokyo local (present Kanto Daini) branch.
1973 The all-weather tennis court "Perfect Court" was developed and put on the market.
1976 Developed recycling base plant and started operation in Yokohama City. Opened Class A architectural office.
1977 Recycle asphalt plant was developed in Chiba City. Field recycling base method was developed.
1982 Vertical mud-stabilizer was developed and deep layer stabilizing work method was put into practical utilization. Undercut FRB work method was developed and put into practical utilization.
1983 Capital increased to 5 billion yen. Developed winch carrier for asphalt dam facing.
1984 50th anniversary.
1986 Issued convertible bond.(Issued amount for 8-year bond ; 10 billion yen, 12-year bond ; 10 billion yen) Developed thin-layer concrete finisher.
1987 Developed a guss finisher, crawler-type deep stabilizer and surface scabbler.
1988 Developed and put into practical use the RCCP construction method and a sound-absorbing porous asphalt (MC pervious).
1989 Sales of first-aid concrete repair material "Super-set45" was commenced. Capital increase to more than 10 billion yen. New shares issued.
1990 Sales of "Remiphalt A" was commenced. Sales of a dust control & hardening agent "TEFIX" was commenced. A track sweeper for auto-bike racing track maintenance was developed.
1994 Company Philosophy and Mottos were decided.
1995 Company mark was renewed.
1996 Speed Save Method, "Rubber Rolled Surfacing" and Safepaved Method were developed.
1997 NH's Kanto-Daiichi Branch was awarded the Quality Standard Certification of ISO-9001 as the first winner of this status in the road construction industry in Japan.
1998 Development of a slope concrete paver with a highly accurate finish.
1999 Super-SMAC (a highly durable porous asphalt mixture) business started.
2000 NH's Architectural Department was awarded the Quality Standard Certification of ISO-9001.
2001 Kanto Architectural Branch was estabilished. Kanto Daiichi Branch and Chubu Branch were awarded Certificathion of ISO-14001.
2002 Capital participation in Dai-Nippon Doboku Co., Ltd. Cool Pervious (a heat blocking pavement) business started.
2003 Merged with Nippon Oil Engineering Co. which became one of our Engineering Divisions. The name of the corporation has been changed to NIPPO CORPORATION. Cool Polyseal(a moisture retaining pavement) business started.
2004 Executive Officer system introduced. NIPPO Corp. head office was awarded Environmental Management Standard Certification of ISO-14001. Sales of our newly-developed product "Rumble Strips" was commenced.
2005 Company rule was established for the protection of personal information.
2006 Energy Department was awarded Certification of ISO 14001.
2007 A subsidiary, Ashinoko Skyline Co., Ltd. was established.
2008 Sub Branches were restructured to District Management Offices. Perfect Cooltechnology was awarded in 2008 IRF Global Road Achievement Awards competition.
2009 The 75th anniversary of establishment. The name of the corporation has been changed to "NIPPO." (The English name remains unchanged.)
2010 Research Institute was relocated to Saitama City. Technical Center was established.
2011 NIPPO's heat reflective painting for pavement was awarded for "Best Innovation Prize" by PIARC. HRB method to minimize road deformation by earthquake was launched to market.
2012 Energy Business Division was divided out and merged to a newly established company, JX Engineering Co.Ltd.
